Corrugated paper “inner paper rupture” refers to the phenomenon that the top and bottom of the corrugated paper are broken, which is a common quality defect in production. It generally causes hazards such as cardboard bursting and reduced edge pressure. This article outlines the seven common causes of “paper breakage” and six solutions.
Seven Causes of Corrugated Paper “Inner Paper Broken”
What is the phenomenon of corrugated paper “inner paper cracking”
Paper rupture in corrugated paper refers to the phenomenon that the top and bottom of the corrugated paper are broken, which is a common quality defect in production. It will generally cause the cardboard to burst and reduce the side pressure and other hazards.
Seven Causes of Corrugated Paper “Inner Paper Broken”
1. If the single corrugation is glued surface shattered tiles: the gap between the pressure roller and the corrugated roller is too small, and the inner paper and corrugated paper will be squeezed and broken when the paper is bonded to the corrugated paper. If the temperature of the corrugating roller and the pressure roller are both high, the corrugated paper will rupture more, and the lining paper will also be squeezed and broken, forming a cracking phenomenon. The most common one is that the lining paper has black lines.
2. The flute design is unreasonable: the combination of R and r cannot meet the needs of thick paper. This kind of situation is easy to appear on the E flute and the B flute. When producing high-weight corrugated paper, the corrugation is not easy to form, which will increase the pressure of the corrugated stick, which will lead to the phenomenon of rupture of the corrugated paper and damage to the lining.
3. The paper ruptures in the new roll at high speed: the surface finish is not good, and the rough surface causes uneven pressure and causes rupture.
4. The inner paper breaks when the paper is spliced: the splicer and the brake cooperate to control the tension of the corrugated paper in time. When the moisture of the base paper is too large, the tension is too small, which will lead to poor corrugation forming and cause rupture.
5. Without splicing machine: the corrugated paper is relatively too strong.
6. The corrugated eccentricity is seriously unbalanced.
7. The inner paper breaks when the core is small: under the condition of minimum braking, the paper holder thimble may be unbalanced and mechanically locked, causing the original paper to break due to excessive force.
Six countermeasures for paper rupture in corrugated paper
1. If the paper in the high material of the new roll is broken, check whether the R-r difference of the corrugated design is reasonable, and appropriately reduce the corrugated pressure.
2. The paper breaks in the new roll at high speed: the surface of the corrugated roll is polished again.
3. The paper in the small roll is broken: check the level of the thimble and whether the upper and lower slider keys are worn out. If worn, change the direction or replace it in time. At the same time, loosen the thimble appropriately when making small rolls.
4. The paper in the splicing machine is broken: adjust the parameters of the splicing machine. Especially the ability to adapt to low-weight and low-grade base paper. As domestic companies generally use low-weight or low-grade base paper to reduce costs, paper web folds, paper web tears, shattered tiles and other phenomena will follow. The current high The performance splicer greatly improves the adaptability to the base paper through web flattening technology, multiple buffer technology and small tension control technology.
5. The corrugated rubber surface and the inner paper are broken: the gap between the rubber roller and the corrugated roller can be readjusted. (Adjust under the condition of warm engine)
6. No paper splicing machine: The operator must adjust the tension of the corrugated paper in time according to the diameter of the paper roll.
